Health facilities deteriorated after Congress came to power: Ashish
He said most drug distributors have stopped supplying medicines to the hospital’s Jan Aushadhi stores, where cardholders get medicines for free, due to pending payments.
Hamirpur: Ashish Sharma, BJP candidate for the assembly by-election from Sadar assembly constituency, said on Friday that health facilities in the state have completely collapsed after the Congress came to power.
He said that Himcare and Ayushman card holders are not able to get all the medicines in the Jan Aushadhi store of IGMC, where they get these medicines free of cost.

Apart from this, some departments have stopped free surgery of card holders, which uses expensive equipment/devices like stents and pacemakers.
He said that by April 2024, the pending payment under both the schemes in IGMC, Shimla alone has exceeded Rs 65 crore.
In the entire state, this amount has increased to more than Rs 300 crore. Similarly, due to the closure of Sahara Yojana, poor people suffering from serious diseases like cancer, paralysis, Parkinson’s, thalassemia are having to wander from door to door for treatment.
