Shimla, 24th June: Now the wait for monsoon in Himachal Pradesh is on the verge of ending. According to the latest information, the southwest monsoon is going to arrive in Himachal Pradesh soon.

According to the update received from the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is going to show its splendor in Himachal Pradesh by June 28, due to which the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain and thunderstorm in Himachal Pradesh from June 27 to 30.The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain with lightning and storm in Himachal Pradesh on June 28, especially in the plains and mid-mountain areas of the state.

The Meteorological Department has urged the common people to be cautious because heavy rains are going to occur in entire Himachal Pradesh during the monsoon and monsoon has been predicted to wreak havoc.

Director of Meteorological Center Shimla, Surender Paul said that under pre-monsoon rain has started in many places in Himachal Pradesh and in the next 24 hours, heavy rains have been predicted along with lightning and storm in the middle and high mountain areas of the state on June 25. Also, the weather is going to remain clear in the plains of the state.

Surender Paul said that on June 26, the weather is going to remain clear in the remaining areas except the high mountain areas of the state, which include Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur and Kullu.

He said that heavy rains are going to start in the state on June 27, which will continue till June 30 and there is a possibility of heavy damage in Himachal Pradesh during the monsoon.

It is worth mentioning that continuous rain has been going on in many areas of Himachal Pradesh since last week, and this is pre-monsoon rain.

In Himachal Pradesh, the highest rainfall of 62 mm was recorded by IMD in Gohar of Mandi district in the last 24 hours.

Along with this, 31 mm rainfall has been recorded in HMO Shilaro, 18 mm rainfall in Rampur Bushahr, 15 mm rainfall in Mandi, 11-11 mm rainfall in Rohru, Sangla, Chamba and Jogindernagar, 10-10 mm rainfall in Chaupal and Paonta Sahib, 7-7 mm rainfall in Narkanda and Pandoh, 6-6 mm rainfall in Kufri and Manali has been recorded by IMD.

Downpour in Himachal due to rain, mercury drops, relief from heatwave –

After the rain, the fall in day temperature in the state has brought relief from heatwave.

On Monday, the maximum temperature was 39 degrees in Kangra and Bilaspur, 38.1 degrees in Chamba, 38.4 degrees in Hamirpur, 37 degrees in Sundernagar, 36.8 degrees in Mandi, 36 degrees in Bhuntar and Bajuara, 34.7 in Seobagh, 32.6 degrees in Sainj, 26 degrees in Shimla, 29.5 degrees in Jubbarhatti, 25.1 degrees in Kasoli, 24.3 degrees in Mashobra, 20 degrees in Kufri, 33.2 degrees in Nahan, 34.5 degrees in Dhaula Kuan and 22.9 degrees Celsius in Keylong as recorded by IMD Shimla.
