CM Sukhu: Statues of national leaders are installed in the historic Ridge Ground, Late Virbhadra Singh was not a national leader, Government is considering installing his statue
Shimla, June 23: The Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee is celebrating the birth anniversary of the late Virbhadra Singh, the former six-time Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, on Sunday.
A floral tribute ceremony was organized at Rajiv Bhawan Shimla, Himachal Pradesh Congress Party headquarters, in memory of the six-time former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Late Virbhadra Singh.
The floral tribute ceremony was scheduled at 11 am but CM Sukhu left for Kangra after offering flowers before 11 am.
CM Sukhu interacted with the media regarding the installation of the statue of late Virbhadra Singh, six-time former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, on the historic Ridge, suspension of 9 BJP MLAs and Congress’ victory in three by-elections.

Talking to the media, CM Sukhu said about the statue of late Virbhadra Singh to be installed on the historic Ridge that statues of national leaders have been installed on the historic Ridge Ground. In such a situation, consideration is being given to installing the statue of late Virbhadra Singh around the historic Ridge Ground.
Regarding the three by-elections, CM Sukhu said that these by-elections have been forcibly imposed on the people of Himachal. Why did the three independents need to resign? This had never happened before. If their work was not being done while they were independents, will it be done after joining the BJP?
CM Sukhu said that the matter of ruckus caused by 9 BJP members during the budget session is under consideration of the Assembly Speaker. The Speaker will take the final decision on their expulsion.
The CM said that just as Jai Ram Thakur is saying that the membership of six CPS will be terminated, he said that the membership of 9 BJP members can also be terminated.
The CM said that the Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur is violating the rules by giving a statement on the CPS case going on in the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
