Shimla: Driver dies on the spot after truck falls into Sutlej river in Sunni

Shimla, June 19: A case of the heartbreaking death of a truck driver has come to light after a truck fell into the Satluj river near Chaaba under Sunni police station area of ​​Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh.

The body of the truck driver has not been taken out from the Sutlej river yet, due to which the body of the truck driver has not been identified yet. The relief and rescue workers on the spot are busy taking out the body of the truck driver from the Sutlej river. The truck that became the victim of the tragic accident was going from Luhri to Sunni.

The entire incident took place on Tuesday early morning. Upon receiving the information, the Sunni police station in-charge and his team reached the spot and started a rescue operation to search for the missing truck and driver in the Satluj river.

During the rescue operation, the feet of the dead person were seen in a small part of the truck submerged in the Satluj river, due to which it is believed that this is the body of the truck driver. Rescue teams are busy in taking out the body of the truck driver from the Satluj river. Divers have been called for the rescue operation. Sunni Police Station In-charge has not yet been able to get concrete information about the person who died in this accident.

Sunni Police Station In-charge informed Truck Union Dadla Ghat and Truck Union Bagha about the entire accident. During the investigation by Sunni Police Station In-charge, it was revealed that the accident-hit truck was registered in the name of a woman resident of Arki in Solan district.

A 27-year-old youth from Theog subdivision was driving this truck for the last three years and he is missing after the accident.

Sunni police station in-charge has expressed apprehension that the driver who became victim of the accident may or may not be the 27-year-old youth.

According to Sunni Police Station In-charge, the entire accident happened due to the high speed and negligence of the truck driver.Sunni Police Station In-charge said that the driver died due to the truck falling into Sutlej. Efforts are being made by the rescue team to retrieve his body. A case has been registered under Section 278 and 304 A of the IPC and investigation has been started regarding the entire incident.
