Shimla, June 18: In view of the water shortage in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla, the Municipal Corporation Shimla has taken an important decision to ban all types of construction work within the city.

Now any kind of construction will be banned in Shimla city till June 30. Water is being supplied by tankers after a week in many areas of Shimla city.

Due to the heatwave, the drinking water scheme is being shut down due to the decrease in water level in the water source.

PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that in view of the water shortage, all types of construction work in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla has been banned till June 30, till the monsoon arrives. He said that in view of the increasing demand in all areas of Shimla city, work is being done to supply water through tankers.
