Under the Medha Protsahan Yojana of Himachal Pradesh Government, meritorious students will get one lakh rupees, apply soon

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, June 11 :Himachal Pradesh Higher Education Department has invited applications for the Merit Incentive Scheme of Himachal Pradesh Government for session 2023-24.

What is the Merit Incentive Scheme of Himachal Pradesh Government?

Let us tell you that under the Medha Protsahan Yojana, all the meritorious students get an opportunity to prepare for CLAT, IIT-JEE, UPSC, SSC, Banking, Insurance and Railways from the best coaching institutes of Himachal and outside Himachal.

Under the Medha Protsahan Yojana of Himachal Pradesh Government, 280 candidates who have passed 12th and 120 graduate level candidates are going to be selected on the basis of merit.

To get selected in Medha Protsahan Yojana, students of general category must have minimum 75% marks in class XII, while students of SC, ST, OBC, IRDP and BPL category must have minimum 65% marks in class XII.

Also, to get selected in the Medha Protsahan Yojana, the total income of the candidate’s family should not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh per year.

Apart from this, to get selected in the Medha Protsahan Yojana, it is mandatory for the student to attend all the classes of the institute.

It is worth noting that the student selected in the Medha Protsahan Yojana of the Himachal Pradesh government is provided financial assistance of maximum Rs 1 lakh in lifetime.
