Vaghul had collapsed at his Chennai home a few days ago and was put on ventilator support at a private hospital, where he breathed his last.
Banking game changer N Vaghul, who transformed ICICI Bank from a private sector lender to the top, passed away on Saturday afternoon due to health complications. He was 88.
Vaghul took over the reins of ICICI, which was once a public finance institution, in 1985 and in his 11-year tenure, with the help of a young team, ICICI became a leading bank with the liberalization of the economy.

According to the information, Vaghul’s family consists of his wife Padma, son Mohan and daughter Sudha and both the children are settled abroad.
