Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Una, April 26: An HRTC bus number HP 73A 5041 of Haridwar via Chamba route collided with a car number HP 19F 4399 last Thursday night in Dhusara Awal village, adjacent to Amb sub-division of Una district of Himachal Pradesh. Car driver Vinod Kumar died on the spot in the entire accident.

Also, all the passengers on board the bus including HRTC bus driver Nigesh Kumar and the conductor have been seriously injured and after giving first aid to all the injured, they have been sent home with the permission of the doctors.

HRTC bus driver Nigesh Kumar has said in the complaint given to the Amb police that he was coming from Haridwar to Chamba with passengers when a car driver drove wrongly in Dhusara Awal village and took his car in front of the bus at high speed. The collision was so severe that the driver of the car died on the spot and all the injured passengers were discharged from the local hospital after first aid due to serious injuries.

The body of the deceased car driver Vinod Kumar has been handed over to the family after postmortem was done at Regional Hospital Chamba.

The entire matter is being investigated by the Amb police. The deceased has been identified by the Amb police station in-charge as Vinod Kumar, forty-one years old, son of Banshilal, resident of Takarla village, Una.

Amb police has registered a case against car driver Vinod Kumar on the complaint of HRTC bus driver Nigesh Kumar.

Una District Police Administration Superintendent Rakesh Singh said that Amb Police has registered a case and is busy in investigation.
