Himachal: Passengers narrowly escaped after all the rear parts of HRTC’s semi-deluxe bus were dislodged.
If the differential tube burst and fell into the ground, the differential carrier could have caught fire due to the heat and a major accident could have occurred.
Mandi, 18 April: A semi-deluxe bus of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport (HRTC) which was going towards Amritsar via Jogindernagar on Thursday morning, suddenly the differential tube of the bus got dislocated near Neri. The best thing is that no major accident has happened and all the passengers have been sent to their destination through another bus.

When Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma called HRTC DM Vinod Thakur, it was found that along with the axle tubes and differential carrier of the semi-deluxe bus, both the tubes had also opened. Vinod Thakur said that this would be known only after investigation. Will find out how the rear part of the bus suddenly got uprooted, he said that all the passengers are safe.

According to experts, the lifeblood of any bus is the differential carrier from which diesel comes out in the form of smoke. If the differential tube burst and fell into the ground, the differential carrier could have caught fire due to the heat and a major accident could have occurred.
