Tragic accident: HRTC buses collide at Shimla’s Old Bus Stand… two injured, driver absconding

Eyewitnesses present at the spot said that a parked HRTC bus was hit by another HRTC bus, in which a man and a woman suffered serious injuries. He has alleged that no one from HRTC came to take the injured to the hospital nor did the police reach the spot.

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, April 12: A man and a woman have suffered serious injuries in the collision between two HRTC buses at the Old Bus Stand in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. The accident occurred around 10 am, when an HRTC bus parked at the Old Bus Stand was hit from behind by another HRTC bus. A parked bike was also hit in the accident. Both the injured were taken to Ripon Hospital by the people present on the spot, while the driver of the bus fled from the spot.

The other taxi driver present at the spot said that he was sitting in the car at the time of the accident and he also suffered minor injuries. The fortunate thing is that there was no loss of life of any kind in the accident.
