Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, April 11: The festival of Eid was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. While the people of the Muslim community gave the message of brotherhood, they also prayed for peace for the country.
Eid was celebrated at Jama Masjid, Idgah Lakkar Bazaar in Shimla. Eid prayers were offered at Jama Masjid at 10 am. People of the Muslim community hugged each other and congratulated them on Eid and prayed for peace in the country and the state.

Imam Mohammad Islam of Jama Masjid Shimla says that Eid is celebrated after fasting throughout the month. Namaz was offered on the occasion of Eid.

Imam Mohammad Islam said that the Muslim community prayed for mutual brotherhood and peace for their entire country. After the Namaz, people hugged each other and congratulated each other on Eid and also distributed vermicelli at home. He said that he has prayed to Allah for peace to remain in the country.
