Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, April 09: A massive fire broke out in a two-storey house in Kotgarh under Kumarsain police station of Upper Shimla on Tuesday morning. High flames are rising from the upper floor of the house. Fire brigade personnel arrived on information and are trying to extinguish the fire. This incident has created chaos in the surrounding area.

According to the police, this fire incident took place in the house of Kuldeep Mehta, a resident of Jubar village of Kotgarh. A fire broke out in his two-storey house at around 9.30 in the morning.

Due to excessive use of wood in the house, the fire spread rapidly and flames started rising from the entire upper floor of the house. When the noise was raised, nearby people gathered at the spot. People took out valuables from the lower floor of the house.

Efforts are being made to control the fire with the help of fire brigade vehicles arrived from Kumarsain. Kumarsain police team is also engaged in relief and rescue work. At present there is no report of anyone getting burnt in this fire incident.
