Himachal: Theog’s Indu Verma Again Joins BJP, Had Left BJP After Not Getting Ticket In 2022
Let us tell you that Indu Verma is the wife of former Theog MLA late Rakesh Verma and daughter-in-law of former DGP Rati Ram Verma.
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, April 02: Indu Verma, wife of late Rakesh Verma, former MLA of Theog assembly constituency of Shimla district, has again joined BJP. On Monday, Indu Verma joined BJP in the presence of BJP state president Rajiv Bindal. Angered by not getting the ticket in the year 2022, Indu Verma left the repression of BJP and joined Congress. However, Congress also did not give ticket to Indu Verma. After this Indu Verma contested the assembly elections as an independent candidate. Indu Verma had to face defeat in the assembly elections.

Late Rakesh Verma, former MLA of Theog assembly constituency, while contesting elections on BJP ticket in 1993, had defeated veteran Congress leader Vidya Stokes, who was in the race for the post of Chief Minister at that time.
