Himachal Politics: BJP Accuses Congress Government Of Violating Model Code Of Conduct

Jairam Thakur said that at many places the District Magistrate is giving orders to remove the hoardings of Ram Temple, which is completely wrong. He has complained about this to the Chief Electoral Officer of the state.

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 19: BJP has termed the form being filled by the Congress Party to fulfill the guarantee of Rs 1500 given to women every month as a violation of the model code of conduct. BJP has filed a complaint regarding this by submitting a memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer today. Opposition BJP has also accused the Congress government of removing the hoardings of Ram Temple.

BJP leader of opposition Jairam Thakur said that Congress did the work of cheating women before the assembly elections. Now it is being done again before the Lok Sabha elections. Rs 1500 was not given in one and a half year nor has any provision for it been made in the budget. But now again these forms are being filled and with the announcement of elections, Model Code of Conduct is also imposed. These forms have photographs of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the Chief Minister Sukhu, which is a violation of the model code of conduct. Apart from this, Jairam Thakur said that at many places the District Magistrate is giving orders to remove the hoardings of Ram Temple, which is completely wrong. He has complained about this to the Chief Electoral Officer of the state.

Regarding the whole matter, Chief Electoral Officer Manish Garg said that women have received complaints regarding forms and hoardings worth Rs 1500. This will be checked. In the same 24 hours, 38 thousand posters and banners were removed. This entire process takes 72 hours in which all the posters, banners and flags will be removed.
