Shimla News: PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh Flagged Off 14 New Machinery Of Public Works Department.
PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that these machines have been purchased through GeM portal, due to which about Rs 10 crore has been saved.
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 16: Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh on Saturday flagged off 14 out of 102 new machines purchased for the Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department at an amount of more than Rs 23 crore from Tara Devi. PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that these machines have been purchased through GeM portal, due to which about Rs 10 crore has been saved.

He thanked Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for his cooperation in purchasing these machines for the Public Works Department. He said that these machines will be sent to every sub-division, so that we do not face any problem in dealing with disaster or any other incident.

He told about the damage caused by the disaster caused by rain last year. Keeping this in mind, the state government had taken some decisive decisions, in which these machines have been purchased.

On this occasion, ENC Public Works Department Ajay Gupta, Superintending Engineer (Mechanical) CD Thakur, Executive Engineer (Mechanical) Amit Sharma, RK Chandla, Rajesh Agrawal and Rohit Sood and other officers and employees were present.
