Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Una, March 14: A 59-year-old retired police personnel died on the spot in a tragic road accident in Rampur, adjacent to Una district administration headquarters.

The deceased police personnel has been identified as Ram Kishan son of Hans Raj, resident of Ward No. 1, Saloh, Haroli.

Police have taken the body into their custody and kept it in Dead House Una for post-mortem. Investigation has been started regarding the matter.

According to the information, on Thursday afternoon, Ram Kishan, a resident of Saloh, who retired from the police department, was going from Una towards Haroli on a scooty. On reaching Rampur, there was a collision with a bullet coming from the front. The collision was so strong that Ram Kishan died on the spot.

With the help of local people, the body was brought to the regional hospital Una, where the police took possession of the body and kept it in the dead house.

ASP Una Sanjeev Bhatia said that the police is investigating the matter. Police have registered a case in connection with the accident.
