Himachal News: Auto-DCR System Launched For Online Approval Of Building Maps

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 14: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu launched the online Auto-DCR (Development Control Regulation) building permission system for six urban local bodies and all planning areas under the Town and Country Planning Department here. Through this system, permission for building construction will be given sooner than before. In this online system, the maps of the buildings will be checked by computer.

With the introduction of this online system, six urban local bodies, Municipal Corporation Shimla and Solan, Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Development Authority, Municipal Council Theog and Baddi, Nagar Panchayat Arki and all the planning areas under the Urban and Town Planning Department People will get relief and they can make new applications online for approval of building construction plans Common people will get relief and they can make new applications online for approval of building construction plans.

The Chief Minister said that with the introduction of this system, registered architects will be eligible to give their own permission for construction of residential buildings on plots up to 500 square meters, as a result of which the common man will get relief from making repeated visits to the concerned office. The Chief Minister said that this system will soon be started in all urban and local bodies also.
