Himachal News: Anurag Thakur Said- Now Direct Train Facility From Himachal To Haridwar

Anurag Thakur said that India’s most modern train Vande Bharat is now running in Himachal Pradesh only because of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Youth and Sports Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur said on Friday that the train going from Una district of Himachal Pradesh to Saharanpur is now going to run till Haridwar. Anurag Thakur has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav for this decision.

He said that this will greatly benefit the people of Una district and there will be an increase in pilgrimage. Anurag Thakur said that Haridwar is a major religious place and a large number of people from Himachal go to Haridwar for pilgrimage.

Anurag Thakur said that he had personally met Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav and requested to start this facility. Now we are happy to inform that the extension of Una Himachal-Saharanpur train has been approved by the Railway Minister. This train is now going to run from Una district to Haridwar. This will provide great transportation facilities to the passengers.

Anurag Thakur said that PM Modi has gifted the country’s fourth Vande Bharat train to Himachal Pradesh and PM Modi himself had come to Una to inaugurate it.

Anurag Thakur said that Rs 1838 crore has been sanctioned for the expansion of railways in Himachal Pradesh for the financial year 2023-24. Rs 1000 crore for the strategically important Bhanupalli-Bilaspur-Beri railway line, Rs 450 crore for the Chandigarh-Baddi railway line and Rs 452 crore for the Nangal-Talwara railway line have been approved in the budget.

Anurag Thakur said that this approval of Rs 1838 crore for railway expansion is 17 times more than the year 2009-2014 of the UPA regime. At present, work is going on in Himachal Pradesh on four projects worth Rs 19556 crore and 258 km.
