According to the notification issued by the Himachal Pradesh government, permission has been granted to fill 1,226 posts of male and female constables in the police department. Of these, 818 posts are for male constables, 351 are for female constables and 57 posts are for male drivers.
All these posts of Class III will be filled through Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission under direct recruitment and 30 percent reservation has been ensured for women candidates. The recruitment related recommendation has been sent to the Commission by the department. In order to ensure transparency in the recruitment process, it has been decided to conduct the written examination for these posts through Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.
All these 1226 posts are going to be filled as per the population ratio and reservation roster of the respective district.
From Bilaspur, 46 posts of male constable, 19 posts of female constable and three posts of driver will be filled. From Chamba, 62 posts of male and 27 posts of female constables and four posts of drivers will be filled, from Hamirpur, 54 posts of male, 23 posts of female constables, four posts of drivers will be filled. From Kangra there are 180 posts of male, 77 posts of female constable, 12 posts of driver, from Kinnaur there are 10 posts of male, four posts of female constable, one post of driver, from Kullu there are 52 posts of male, 22 posts of female constable, four posts of driver, Four posts of male, two posts of female constable from Lahaul-Spiti, 119 posts of male, 51 posts of female constable and eight posts of drivers will be filled from Mandi.
In Shimla, there are 97 posts of male constable, 42 posts of female constable, seven posts of driver,In Sirmaur, there are 63 posts of male, 27 posts of female constable, five posts of driver, 69 posts of male, 30 posts of female constable, five posts of driver from Solan And from Una, 62 posts of men, 27 posts of women constables and four posts of drivers will be filled.
