Former minister and president of Mandi District Congress Committee and veteran Congress leader Prakash Chaudhary has left the Congress party. He has given this information by posting on his official social media platform Facebook and it has also been confirmed.

While talking to Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma, Prakash Chaudhary said that he has said goodbye to the Congress party after being hurt by the excessive interference being done by APMC Chairman Sanjeev Guleria in his home assembly constituency. Today, those who worked to defeat him are being given preference and the true soldiers of the Congress Party are being ignored. Even in the Chhechu fair to be held in Rewalsar, a former minister and party candidate is being ignored.

Prakash Choudhary told that he had put forward the entire issue before the Himachal Government and the Congress Party organization, but no proper hearing was given anywhere due to which, being hurt, he has said goodbye to the Congress Party today. He also said that he is a true soldier of the Congress Party.

At the same time, the news of Prakash Chaudhary’s resignation has created a stir in the Congress.

However, sources in the Congress party high command say that till now no official resignation of Prakash Chaudhary has reached the party.

Today, Prakash Chaudhary had gone to the house of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri in Haroli Assembly of Una district to express his condolences and while returning from there, he shared the post of resignation on his social media handle.

There was panic in Congress due to the news of resignation of Prakash Chaudhary after nomination of Rajya Sabha candidate in the form of Harsh Mahajan by BJP –

Today itself BJP has fielded Harsh Mahajan as its candidate for Rajya Sabha seat. Although BJP does not have majority, still BJP has given Congress sleepless nights by giving candidates and now the resignation of Prakash Chaudhary has put Congress on back foot and BJP on front foot. Himachal BJP is saying in hushed tones that they are going to win the Rajya Sabha seat on the strength of dissatisfied Congress MLAs. Now it will be interesting to see what further turmoil is going to happen in Congress in future after the resignation of Prakash Chaudhary.

All allegations of Prakash Chaudhary are baseless: Sanjeev Guleria

At the same time, when APMC Chairman Sanjeev Guleria was talked to regarding the allegations made by Prakash Chaudhary, he said that he has never interfered in Balh. He is working like an ordinary party worker and is a grass root worker of the party and not someone who has landed in the Congress party by parachute. Prakash Choudhary, please tell where he has interfered. Balh is a reserved area and I can never contest elections from here, hence the question of my interference does not arise. All the allegations made by Prakash Chaudhary are baseless.
