Atal Tunnel Rohtang, which was closed due to heavy snowfall, has been reopened for all types of vehicles after about 14 days.

From Wednesday, movement of small vehicles has also started on Manali-Keylong route via Atal Tunnel Rohtang.

All tourists are not allowed to go beyond Solanganala at present. Tourists can travel towards Atal Tunnel Rohtang only in four by four vehicles. Heavy snowfall started in Manali and surrounding areas from January 31. Due to this, Atal Tunnel was closed for traffic.

After the BRO removed the snow from the road, the tunnel first opened only for emergency vehicles.

After this, big vehicles carrying essential items have been sent towards Lahaul.

Two days ago, tourists were also sent in four by four vehicles towards Lahaul Valley via Atal Tunnel, Rohtang.

Considering the weather and road conditions on Wednesday, other vehicles were also restored on this route.

DSP Manali KD Sharma said that tourists coming with booking for Lahaul, local people going towards Lahaul and big vehicles carrying essential commodities can go towards Lahaul through Atal Tunnel. Do not travel in the morning and evening.
