Due to the release of the result of Junior Office Assistant (JOA) IT Post Code-817 recruitment examination, all the candidates are raising slogans and protesting.

On Friday, all the candidates and their families gathered in large numbers near the State Secretariat in the capital Shimla and raised slogans against the Himachal government.

After declaring the final result of JOA IT-817, all the candidates have demanded from the Himachal Government to appoint all the 1,867 posts of JOA IT Post Code 817 from March 31, 2024.

The protesting candidates told that applications were invited by Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur to fill 1,867 posts of Post Code-817 JOA IT in the year 2020-21. More than one lakh candidates from across Himachal Pradesh had applied for 1,867 posts.

After the application process, the written examination was conducted by Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission Hamirpur on 21 March 2021. For all the candidates who passed the written examination, the skill test was also conducted by the State Selection Commission, Hamirpur first from February 1 to February 24, 2022 and then on March 2 and June 22, 2022.

An assessment examination of 15 marks was also conducted by the State Selection Commission Hamirpur from August 1 to August 31, 2022 for 4,335 candidates who qualified the written and skill test.

Despite the evaluation, the final result has not yet been declared by the State Selection Commission.

All the candidates said that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had also assured to take appropriate decision within 60 days.

Now even after so many days have passed, the appropriate decision has not been taken by the Himachal Pradesh government. Due to not taking proper decisions, all the candidates are facing mental problems. Many candidates are becoming overage. In Himachal Pradesh, the candidates who are preparing for the examinations day and night at home including coaching centers and libraries are not getting jobs on time. Youth said that the Himachal Pradesh government has dissolved the entire State Selection Commission, Hamirpur, due to the mistake of a few candidates. It flies in the face of common sense. Youth said that conditional appointments should be given as per the instructions of Himachal High Court. The youth said that if the final result is not released soon then a violent movement is going to be started in the entire Himachal Pradesh.
