Advance booking of hotel rooms in Himachal Pradesh has increased for the first weekend of February. Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla, Kufri, Narkanda, Kullu, tourist cities Manali, Kasauli, Chail, Chamba and Khajjiar remain the first choice for tourists from India and abroad.
Due to lack of snowfall in the month of January of New Year 2024, the tourism business in Himachal Pradesh had completely slowed down.
Tourism businessmen are expecting a huge increase in the number of tourists from India and abroad after the first snowfall of the season in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh.
After heavy snowfall, tourism business is expected to pick up pace in entire Himachal Pradesh.
While advance booking of rooms in all the hotels has started for the first weekend of February, on the other hand, tourists from India and abroad are also booking travel packages to visit all the tourist places of Himachal Pradesh.
After a long gap, the work of taxi traders in Himachal Pradesh has also started picking up pace. Tourist guides, photographers, horse handlers all associated with the tourism business seem excited after the heavy snowfall. There has been an active increase in the number of tourists from the country and the world traveling by trains coming from World Heritage Kalka to Shimla.
All the luxury buses coming to Shimla from Delhi, Chandigarh and Kalka are also running completely packed with tourists.
Travel Agents Association General Secretary Manu Sood told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that after heavy snowfall, a large number of bookings from tourists from the country and around the world have come for Himachal Pradesh capital Shimla, Narkanda, Kinnaur, Manali, Kasauli, Chamba and Khajjiar. Tourists from India and abroad were waiting for the snow to fall. It is expected that the tourist places of Himachal Pradesh will remain buzzing with tourists throughout the month of February.
Chairman of All Himachal Commercial Vehicle Joint Action Committee, Rajendra Thakur told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that booking of taxis for site scenes has started increasing as soon as heavy snowfall started. A large number of vehicles are also being demanded for pick up and drop. For the first time, the taxi business has also gained momentum during the winter tourist season.

Three people got injured due to slip amid heavy snowfall, number of patients increased –
A large number of patients are reaching Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital for treatment on Friday due to injuries due to slipping on ice.
Most of the patients have suffered fractures in their arms due to slipping in the snow.
The patients who slipped on snow have been sent home after first aid and plaster application by specialist doctors at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital.
