Shimla: Due to lack of rain and snowfall in the entire Himachal Pradesh, the problem of drought will increase in the coming days, IMD Shimla is also raising the issue. While in the last twenty years, the mountains of Himachal Pradesh used to be covered with snow in the month of January, but this year 2024, the harshness of the weather is overshadowing the winter. Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla and tourist city Manali, which are among the most famous tourist destinations in the whole of India, have a changing cycle of rain and snowfall from year to year, which is a cause of problems for the tourism sector of Himachal Pradesh as well as for the farmers and gardeners.

Global warming is the biggest reason for change in the weather of Himachal Pradesh –

Chief Director of Meteorological Center, Shimla, Surendra Pal told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the main reason for the continuous active change in the weather of Himachal Pradesh is “Global Warming”. Apart from this, due to very low pressure in the North Pole and the Mediterranean region, the Western Disturbance is also becoming weak.

Also, Surendra Pal said that Western Disturbance is continuously becoming active due to cold air coming from the North Pole and hot air coming from the Mediterranean region. But this year 2024, due to the dominance of air in the North Pole and less area, the winds are not able to move forward, due to which the weather in Himachal Pradesh is continuously increasing in dryness.

The weather of Himachal Pradesh will remain clear for the next eight to ten days –

Surendra Pal has made it clear that there is no possibility of rain or snowfall in the coming days. Although some decrease has been recorded in the minimum temperature of Himachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature is still higher than normal. He said that in view of the increasing fog in the plains, a yellow alert has been issued by IMD Shimla and it is predicted that the fog will continue in the coming days.
