A day before the program at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the entire family of Himachal Pradesh’s Kabaddi star Ritu Negi had reached India’s capital New Delhi. Himachal Pradesh’s Kabaddi star Ritu Negi Arjun Award has been given for winning gold medal in the Asian Games held in Hangzhou city of China in the year 2023 and gold medal in the South Asian Games held in Kathmandu in the year 2019. Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Mukesh Agnihotri have also sent special congratulations to Himachal Pradesh’s Kabaddi star Ritu Negi for the achievement of getting the Arjuna Award. Himachal Pradesh’s Kabaddi star Ritu Negi, born on 30 May 1992 to father Bhawan Singh Negi and mother Smt. Purnima Negi, completed her primary education in the village primary school, Shirog. After completing her primary education from Shirog, Himachal Pradesh’s Kabaddi star Ritu Negi was selected for Bilaspur hostel after passing the ninth class from Government Senior Secondary School, Shillai. Himachal Pradesh’s Kabaddi star Ritu Negi has been given the opportunity to participate in sports and complete her studies till graduation in Bilaspur hostel. In the year 2007, Himachal Pradesh’s Kabaddi star Ritu Negi had performed brilliantly by participating in the National Championship held in Haridwar with the Himachal Pradesh team. In the year 2011, the Indian Kabaddi team created history by winning the gold medal under the captaincy of Ritu Negi in the Junior Asian Kabaddi Championship held in Malaysia. Ritu Negi has been playing for the Indian Railways team since 2014. India had won a silver medal in the eighteenth Asian Games held in Indonesia in the year 2018. After that, in the year 2019, India won the gold medal in the South Asian Games held in Nepal. In the year 2022, Himachal Pradesh’s Kabaddi star Ritu Negi got married to Kabaddi star Rohit Gulia in Panipat, Haryana state. Bhawan Singh Negi, father of Himachal Pradesh’s Kabaddi star Ritu Negi, told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that it is a matter of great pride for the entire people of Himachal Pradesh that the daughter of Himachal Pradesh has been honored with the Arjuna Award.
