Shimla News: Private buses will not run in Shimla on January 3, driver-conductor union informed DC

No private buses of any kind will be operated in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, on Wednesday, January 3, in protest against the complete amendment made in the Motor Vehicles Act by the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.

Protests have intensified against the complete amendment made in the Motor Vehicles Act by the Narendra Modi government at the Center regarding hit and run cases. In protest against the complete amendment made in the Motor Vehicles Act, no private buses of any kind will be operated in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla on Wednesday, January 3. Himachal Pradesh Private Bus Driver-Operator Union has submitted a memorandum to the Shimla District Administration Deputy Commissioner informing about the closure of private bus service on Wednesday, January 3.

State General Secretary of Himachal Pradesh Private Bus Drivers-Operators Union, Akhil Gupta, told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that on Wednesday, January 3, in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, against the complete amendment made by the Narendra Modi government in the Hit and Run Act. An important decision has been taken to completely stop the operation of private buses. On the other hand, as a precautionary measure, Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has also issued instructions to all divisional managers of Himachal Pradesh to spend the remaining diesel as per requirement. To avoid diesel shortage, Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has clubbed the routes of HRTC buses from today.

Long queues of vehicles at petrol pumps in Himachal Pradesh, heavy traffic jam in Shimla city –

Long queues of vehicles have formed at all the petrol pumps in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. To fill petrol and diesel, people have to stand in long queues for four-five hours. Due to which, problem of heavy traffic jam has arisen on all the roads of entire Shimla city. On the other hand, many people have been seen carrying petrol and diesel in bottles in the capital Shimla.

Order issued with immediate effect to all petrol pump operators to maintain minimum reserve of petrol and diesel for emergency requirements –

On the other hand, Mandi District Administration Magistrate Arindam Chaudhary has issued orders with immediate effect to all petrol pump operators of Mandi district to maintain minimum reserve of petrol and diesel for emergency needs in view of the truck drivers’ strike.
