Himachal Weather: There Were 79 Percent Less Clouds Than Normal In Himachal This Month, There Was Drought In All The Districts.

According to the report released by Meteorological Center Shimla, due to continuous active weakening of Western Disturbance in the month of December, there has been very less rainfall in all the twelve districts of Himachal Pradesh. Heavy rain as well as snowfall has been predicted during the next two-three days.

The entire Himachal Pradesh received 79 percent less rainfall than normal from December 1 to December 26. The entire month of December has been drought affected in all the twelve districts of Himachal Pradesh. During the period from December 1 to December 26, 27.2 mm rainfall has been considered as normal rainfall in all the twelve districts, but so far only 5.8 mm rainfall has occurred in the month of December 2023. Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh has received the least rainfall by 99 percent, Sirmaur district by 94 percent, Hamirpur district by 86 percent and capital Shimla by 76 percent.

32 percent less rainfall than normal in Bilaspur district, 69 percent less rainfall in Chamba district, 74 percent less rainfall in Kangra district, 83 percent less rainfall in Kullu district, 79 percent less rainfall in Lahaul-Spiti district, 81 percent less in Mandi district. Rain, Solan district has received 74 percent less rainfall, Una district has received 52 percent less rainfall. According to Meteorological Center Shimla, the month of December has received the least rainfall due to continuous weakening of western disturbance. Heavy rain and snowfall is being predicted during the next two-three days. In such a situation, it is expected that there will be some increase in the rainfall figures.

Heavy snowfall resumes on high peaks of Kunjam Pass, CB Range –

Himachal Pradesh capital Shimla as well as most of the areas are covered with light clouds on Tuesday, but along with Rohtang Pass, the highest snowfall has started on the high peaks of Kunjam Pass, CB Range. There are full chances of heavy rain and snowfall on 30th December as well as 31st December and 1st January in eight districts of medium-high mountain region of Himachal Pradesh.

IMD Shimla has predicted completely clear weather in Himachal Pradesh from Wednesday to Friday, December 29. There are full possibilities of Western Disturbance becoming active in many areas of Himachal Pradesh before the New Year. The weather is expected to change in many areas of Himachal Pradesh capital Shimla, Solan district, Sirmaur district, Mandi district, Kullu district, Chamba district, Kinnaur district and Lahaul-Spiti district.

The minimum temperature recorded in Kukumseri, a high hill area of Himachal Pradesh, was 11.6 degrees Celsius on Monday night. Himachal Pradesh has had the lowest minimum temperature this season. Apart from this, the minimum temperature in Sundernagar assembly constituency was 1.6 degree Celsius, 1.1 degree Celsius in Bhuntar, 2.8 degree Celsius in Kalpa, 4.4 degree Celsius in Una-Chamba, 3.2 degree Celsius in Solan district, 1.9 degree Celsius in Mandi district, 6.1 degree Celsius in Kangra district. degrees Celsius, capital Shimla recorded 8.8 degrees Celsius and Dharamshala recorded 9.2 degrees Celsius.
