Himachal News: For The First Time, The Responsibility Of Security Of Tapovan Has Been Handed Over To The Board Of Officers.

Taking a lesson from the entire incident of major lapse in the security arrangements of the Parliament of India, the Government of Himachal Pradesh has decided to make strong security arrangements by the Himachal Pradesh Police for the winter session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly starting from 19th December at Tapovan, Dharamshala. Under the security system, a Board of Officers has been constituted for the first time in Himachal Pradesh. Keeping in view the tight security arrangements for the winter session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly starting from Tuesday, December 19, Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police Dr. Sanjay Kundu on Thursday issued orders to form a team of all the dynamic police officers.

Himachal Pradesh Police IG Intelligence Santosh Patial has been appointed as the head of the Board of Officers by Director General of Himachal Pradesh Police Dr Sanjay Kundu. Also, DIG Northern Zone Abhishek Dullar, SP Kangra District Police Administration Headquarters Shalini Agnihotri and SP Security Arrangements Bhupendra Negi have been appointed as members of the Board of Officers team by Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police Dr. Sanjay Kundu.

The team constituted by the Board of Officers will also remain in constant touch with Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania during the entire five-day assembly session.

To maintain tight security arrangements of Himachal Pradesh Assembly building located in Tapovan, Dharamshala, the entire Tapovan has been kept under the surveillance of high level CCTV cameras.

For the first time, complete guidelines for the two-layer verification process of visitor passes issued to enter the Himachal Pradesh Assembly Building complex located at Tapovan in Dharamshala have been issued.

Last year, slogans of ‘Khalistan Zindabad‘ were written by some mischievous elements on all the walls of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly Building complex located in Tapovan, Dharamshala, due to which serious questions were raised about the security arrangements.

In view of the major lapse in the security arrangements of the Parliament House of India, a Board of Officers team led by Himachal Pradesh Police IG Intelligence Santosh Patial was constituted for tight security arrangements during the five-day session of the winter session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
