Himachal News: NABARD Approves 16 Rural Roads In Five Districts Of Himachal, Rs 90 Crore Released
Engineer-in-Chief of Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department, Ajay Gupta told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that now e-tenders will be invited by Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department for sixteen rural roads. A provision has also been made in the e-tender to fix the time period for sixteen rural roads in five districts of Himachal Pradesh.
Now the construction work of sixteen rural project roads will be started in Himachal Pradesh. An amount of Rs 90 crore has been released today by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for the construction works of sixteen rural roads in five districts of Himachal Pradesh. Sixteen rural project roads will be constructed in five districts of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, Kangra, Hamirpur, Bilaspur as well as Chamba. The construction work of all sixteen rural roads will be done keeping in mind the priorities of the MLAs. It is noteworthy that keeping in mind the preferences of the MLAs of all the assembly constituencies of five districts, the DPR of all the sixteen rural roads was prepared in advance by the Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department. Due to which the entire proposal was sent to NABARD for approval. After almost four months, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has released an amount of Rs 90 crore to the Himachal Pradesh government.

The time period for the construction of all sixteen rural roads has been fixed by the Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department in the e-tender process. Engineer in Chief Ajay Gupta said that the work of connecting every gram panchayat of Himachal Pradesh with road facilities has been started at a fast pace. All the Gram Panchayats with population of more than 500 people have been connected with road facilities. The work of connecting all the Gram Panchayats with a population of 250 people with road facilities has also been started at a fast pace. Engineer in Chief Ajay Gupta said that under phase three of the Prime Minister Rural Road Scheme, approval has been given to start construction works of more than 250 roads. Besides, the e-tender process has also been started for phase three of the Prime Minister Rural Road Scheme.
