Shimla News : Revenue Minister holds meeting with officials in Shimla for rehabilitation of Pong Dam oustees
Shimla News : Revenue Minister Jagatsingh Negi has said that the state government is sensitive towards the rehabilitation of Pong dam oustees and their reasonable demands will be taken up with the Rajasthan government.
He was speaking during a meeting organized with officials of the Revenue Department in the capital Shimla today for the rehabilitation of Pong Dam oustees. Jagat Singh Negi said that twenty thousand seven hundred twenty two families have been affected in Kangra district due to the Pong Dam project and the government Efforts are being made to allot land to the displaced people of the project.
Apart from this, consideration is also being given to providing lump sum relief to the remaining displaced people. The Revenue Minister said that meetings should be organized from time to time regarding this matter, so that the demands of the displaced people can be resolved on time.
