Kumud Sharma :Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed the officials of the National Highways Authority of India to restore the damaged highways at the earliest.

In a meeting with the officials of the National Highways Authority of India in Shimla, he said that the apple season is going on in the state and the produce of the farmers is timely.

Reaching the mandis seems to be the priority of the state government.

He said that soon potato crop would also be ready in Lahaul region and proper steps need to be taken for timely restoration of national highways.

He also emphasized on speeding up the construction work of Shimla Bantoh Four Lane Project as it would benefit eight districts of the state.

He said that the state government is promoting Tourism in a big way and plans to increase the number of tourists visiting the state to five crore every year.

The target has been set. Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthi along with Chief Secretary Pramod Saxena and senior administrative officers were also present during the meeting.
