Five cases of scrub typhus have been reported in Bangana and Amb sub-divisions of the district so far in this rainy season. It is caused by the bite of a very small animal like animal. It is possible, but if this fever worsens due to any reason, then it can also prove to be fatal.
Chief Medical Officer Sanjeev Sharma has appealed to the citizens to keep their bodies completely covered while cutting grass etc. while doing agricultural work. During this, five cases have come in Una district and the administration has appealed to the people to be vigilant.
