G-20 Summit: The condition of these 4 roads of Delhi will change, MCD started preparations for G-20

In view of the G-20 Summit, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has stepped up the exercise of beautifying Delhi as part of its preparations. In this episode, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has marked 4 major roads, Bharatendu Harishchandra Marg, Somnath Marg, Maharaja Surajmal Marg, Vikas Marg, connecting to Leela Ambience Convention located in Kadkaduma.

On these routes, the corporation is working to make proper cleaning system, beautification, encroachment free and green. For this work, four teams have been constituted by the Shahdara South Zone under the leadership of senior officers, so that this work can be completed within the time limit. The above marked roads are being cleaned daily. Along with this, the garbage/debris is being removed from the dump. Apart from this, illegal banners and posters are being removed. It is noteworthy that guests from India and abroad will stay at the Leela Ambience Convention, due to which beautification work is being done in the surrounding area. Old, damaged vehicles have been removed from the CBD ground overlooking Leela Hotel, as well as instructions have been given to paint G-2 Cafe, located near Leela Hotel.
According to the action plan made for the preparations for the G-20, the old and broken dustbins of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi are being painted and replaced as per the requirement. All roads are being cleaned regularly and all sanitation workers have been deployed in the area. Who will ensure that garbage is not thrown in the open. Apart from this, action has been started against those who are dumping garbage, uncleanliness and spreading filth. The work of removing temporary encroachments is being done daily by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, as well as the work of removing illegal banners, posters and hoardings on the walls is also being done. Special teams have also been formed for this.

Important areas for beautification have been identified by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and a target has been set to complete the work within the stipulated time. Work is being done by GUM to improve road infrastructure and give new look to roads, improve footpath, renew signage, beautify under flyover etc.
