Mandi News : The state government has given instructions to get the revival work done in the disaster-affected rural areas under MNREGA. In a meeting with the officials in Mandi, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that the resolution of the gram sabha is not required for the MNREGA works related to the disaster.

He informed that so far works worth Rs 255 crore have been approved under MNREGA in Mandi district. On this occasion, the Public Works Minister instructed the DRDA project officers to review these works every fortnight.
He said that everyone needs to work as a team to make the situation normal in the disaster affected areas. He also called upon everyone to work above politics in this hour of crisis.
Meanwhile, Vikramaditya Singh inspected the Gumau road damaged by landslide in Mandi and also asked to take all necessary steps for repair and strengthening of this road.
He told that till the completion of rioting work, a temporary valley bridge will be constructed for the movement of heavy vehicles on this route.
