Hamirpur : The process of giving admission to the players of various sports started in the Center of Excellence of Hamirpur

The process of giving admission to players of various sports has started in the center of excellence opened by Union Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur in Hamirpur. Trials will be held in this center for admission in athletics, boxing, hockey, badminton and wrestling and about 64 players will be given admission.

The process of giving admission to players of various sports has started in the center of excellence opened by Union Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur in Hamirpur. Trials will be held in this center for admission in athletics, boxing, hockey, badminton and wrestling and about 64 players will be given admission.

In the Center of excellence, these players will be groomed to become excellent players at the national and international level.Assistant Director of the National Center of Excellence, Manoj Awati said that today and tomorrow, trials are being held for two days. About 400 players from Himachal have applied for admission in different sports.

He told – the main six disciplines in which trials were held. There are total vacancies in various sports –

  • athletics are 12 in which 5 boys and 7 girls.
  • The vacancies of Badminton are 2 boys and 3 girls total 5.
  • Boxing vacancies are 8 boys and 10 girls total 18
  • Hockey vacancies are 7 boys, 6 girls total 13
  • Judo vacancies are 5 boys 2 girls total 7
  • Wrestling ranks are boys 1 girls 8 total 9

So 64 vacancy trails are happening here today. Already all the children have come from far away places from Himachal Pradesh. So, due to the closure of Kullu, Manali, the children who were staying here have come here.
