PK Mishra: Principal Secretary to PM reviewed the administrative arrangements of G20
Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister PK Mishra on Monday asked all agencies to work with the “whole government” for the success of the G-20 summit to be held here in September. Chairing the sixth meeting of the Coordination Committee on India’s G-20 Presidency, he reviewed the administrative arrangements for the G-20 Summit to be held here on September 9 and 10, an official statement said.

Chairing the sixth meeting of the Coordination Committee on India’s G-20 Presidency, he reviewed the administrative arrangements for the G-20 Summit to be held here on September 9 and 10, an official statement said.
Citing the decisions taken in the meeting, the statement said that dry runs and mock exercises would be conducted at the summit venue to facilitate smooth functioning of various agencies. The main objective of the meeting was to review the preparatory aspects related to the G-20 Summit to be held here on September 9 and 10.
The committee took stock of the arrangements at the summit venue as well as all aspects related to protocol, security, airport coordination, media, upgradation of infrastructure and arrangements in Delhi and neighboring states. The statement said Mishra called upon all agencies to work with a ‘whole-of-government’ approach to make the G-20 summit a success.
The committee members also visited the proposed sites for various meetings and perused the details. It added that it was also decided to conduct dry runs and mock exercises so that various agencies can function in a seamless manner.
The Committee also provided guidance and direction to work on various preparatory aspects for the upcoming G-20 Summit and decided to meet again in the next two weeks for further review. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the G-20 meetings held so far and the remaining meetings scheduled under India’s G-20 Presidency.
