Kangra district administration has imposed complete ban on paragliding from 15th July to 15th September in famous para gliding site Bir Billing and Indrunag.
Kangra district administration has imposed complete ban on paragliding from 15th July to 15th September in famous para gliding site Bir Billing and Indrunag.
Deputy Director of Tourism Department Vinay Dhiman said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of tourists and para gliders.
At present there are about 350 paraglider pilots in Kangra district. So there will be a ban on these para gliding activities from 15th July to 15th September. The reason for this is that this activity is generally closed in monsoons anyway.
Along with this, our rules have also provided for that this activity will remain closed from 15th July to 15th September. So regarding the same order has been issued on 15th July and all the associations and operators have been informed.
