Himachal News : Chief Minister instructions to officials - restore traffic before apple season
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has instructed the officials to restore all the roads in the apple growing areas for traffic before the commencement of the apple season.
He held a meeting with senior officials in Shimla to review the relief work after the heavy rains and floods. Apart from restoring roads in apple growing areas, the Chief Minister also directed to explore the possibility of alternative routes for export of the crop.
He sanctioned an amount of Rs.50 crore to the Public Works Department for the purchase of machinery. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu told that about two crore apple boxes are expected to be produced in the state in this apple season.
