Amarnath Yatra : The 62-day long Amarnath Yatra has started from today

Shri Amarnath Yatra has started from today, this journey of 62 days will continue till 31st August.

The first batch of Shri Amarnath yatris was flagged off yesterday from the base camp of Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu. More than three thousand four hundred pilgrims are included in this group.

The yatra formally started today from Gulwan in Pahalgam and Baltal in Ganderbal district of Kashmir. The local administration and the Rishi Amarnath Shrine board welcomed the devotees for the yatra.

From drinking water to electricity and accommodation management in the yatra has been finalized. Langar service has also been started regarding the yatra.

Adequate number of security forces have been deployed from the base camp to the yatra route and the holy cave. Apart from this, the yatra routes are also being monitored through CCTV and drones.
