Viral typhoid fever spreading rapidly in Kullu district

These days due to viral fever typhoid in Kullu district and surrounding areas, the number of patients in the regional hospital is continuously increasing. Every day patients are being admitted in the medical ward and patients are being treated in the gallery.

There is a capacity of 50 beds in the medical ward of the regional hospital, whereas due to the increasing number of patients, about 80 patients are being treated. In such a situation, people have demanded the state government to increase the capacity of beds in the medical ward.

Three people who came with the patients told that due to overcrowding in the medical ward, there is no vacant bed, due to which treatment is being done by placing beds in the gallery itself.

He said that along with the local people, patients from Mandi, Lahaul, Spiti and Pangi reach the regional hospital in Kullu for treatment, for which the government should make proper arrangements.

One patient’s father said – My daughter came on Sunday and this week she had fever in Kullu regional hospital, that is, there was no space in the room, the outside is also full, because of this we had to stay in the gallery, so the treatment was done in the gallery itself. =And it’s okay nowadays.

Medical President of Regional Hospital Kullu, Dr. Naresh Kumar has said that these days due to increase in the number of patients of viral fever and typhoid, more patients are reaching the medical ward than its capacity.
