Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh launched mRNA based covid booster vaccine jam covid Omicron in New Delhi today.

It is the first booster COVID vaccine developed in India to combat the fast-spreading Omicron variant.

The COVID booster vaccine, jam covid Omicron will be available from Monday and is priced at Rs 2,299 per dose.

Or Booster vaccine can be given to those people who have taken two doses of covaccine or covishield. This vaccine can be kept in two to eight degree centigrade temperature.

In the third phase of statutory trials conducted in twenty centers of thirteen cities of the country, excessive resistance to this vaccine has been detected.

Jam covid, Omicron, is needleless thermal stable vaccine. It is easy to place it anywhere across the country.

This vaccine does not require very low temperature for transportation and storage. It has received emergency use approval from the Office of the Drug Controller General of India for the Omicron variant. This vaccine has been developed under the COVID security mission.
