Disclosure in allegations: Trump hid intelligence documents in bathroom store room
Trump hid intelligence documents in bathroom store room.
The 37 allegations against former US President Donald Trump in the Secrets Documents case were made public on Friday. Of these, 31 charges are for knowingly possessing documents relating to national security. Apart from this, he has been accused of giving false statements, concealing documents, obstructing justice.
According to the BBC, the 49-page charge sheet states that Trump hid these documents in his bathroom, ballroom, shower space, office, store room and bedroom. Prosecutors also said that Trump ordered his lawyers to hide or destroy the files in order to hinder the FBI’s investigation.
This is the first time in US history that federal charges have been imposed on a former president. However, despite the allegations against Trump, there will be no legal threat to his claim for the presidential election. Even if he is convicted, he will legally be able to contest the presidential election. However, there is no information about his arrest. Preparations are underway for the hearing of the case in Miami court.
