Cabinet Meeting : Increase in MSP on Kharif crops, big announcement regarding Gurugram Metro network, know important decisions of the government

National News – Increase in MSP on Kharif crops
The Union Cabinet has approved the increase in MSP for Kharif crops for the marketing season 2023-24. The move is to ensure remunerative prices to growers for their produce and encourage crop diversification. Union Minister Piyush Goyal gave this information.
MSP of moong dal was increased by 10.4 percent–
This decision of the government will also benefit the farmers growing sunflower, paddy and cotton, groundnut and soyabean. According to Union Minister Piyush Goyal, the maximum support price of moong dal is 10.4%, groundnut 9%, sesamum 10.3%, paddy 7%, jowar, bajra, ragi, table, arhar dal, urad dal, soybean, sunflower An increase of about 6-7% has been made on seeds for the financial year 2023-2024. The cabinet has increased the MSP of paddy by Rs 143 to Rs 2183 per quintal for the year 2023-24.
Metro approved from HUDA City Center to Cyber City in Gurugram–
The Union Cabinet has approved Metro connectivity from HUDA City Center to Cyber City, Gurugram along the Spur to Dwarka Expressway. This fully elevated project will cost Rs 5,452 crore.
Metro journey of 28.50 km will have 27 stations–
The Metro will cover a distance of 28.50 kilometers from HUDA City Center to Cyber City. In between there will be 27 stations. This entire project will be elevated. In which there will be a spur (side line) from Basai village for connectivity to the depot. The project is proposed to be completed in four years from the date of approval and will be implemented by the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited (HMRTC). After the approval order is issued, HMRTC will be set up as a 50:50 Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of the Central and Haryana Governments.
