Joe Biden says Sweden will join NATO soon

Sweden may soon join NATO. US President Joe Biden has given this information. He says that Sweden will soon be a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Despite the way Turkey and Hungary are continuously opposing Sweden’s inclusion in NATO, Biden has talked about making Sweden a part of NATO as soon as possible.

Significantly, this statement of US President Joe Biden has come in the meantime, when he recently (May 29) spoke to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. During this conversation, Erdogan reiterated Turkey’s desire to buy F-16 fighter jets from the US. At the same time, Biden had said that America wants Turkey to give up its objection to Sweden’s NATO membership. Biden called Erdogan to congratulate him on his victory in Turkey’s presidential election. In such a situation, there is a possibility that there can be a deal between America and Turkey regarding F-16 and Sweden’s NATO membership.
