ISRO succesfully launches advanced navigation satellite NVS-01
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Monday successfully launched its advanced navigation satellite NVS-01 from Sriharikota. The launch was done from the Satish Shavan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

NVS-01 is the first of India’s second generation NavIC satellites which comes with advanced features. ISRO informed in a tweet that the satellite was injected into the Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit after a flight of 19 minutes. ISRO said, “After a flight of about 19 minutes, the NVS-O1 satellite was accurately injected into the Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit. The subsequent orbit-raising maneuver will take NVS-01 to the intended Geosynchronous Orbit.”
