There is a dispute between the two countries over the rights to the water of the Helmand River. Iranian media IRNA attributed the first firing to the Taliban. At the same time, according to the Taliban, this war was started by Iran. Hamid Khorasani, a Taliban commander, said – If the Taliban leaders approve, we will win over Iran within 24 hours.
Abdul Hamid Khorasani, a Taliban commander and former governor of Ahmedabad district in Paktia province, shared a video on Twitter. In this he said – We will fight against Iran with more enthusiasm than the enthusiasm with which we fought against the Americans. Iran should be thankful for the patience of Taliban leaders. If senior Taliban leaders allow us, we will win over Iran.
