Star Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy have made it to the quarterfinals of the Malaysia Masters. The duo stormed into the quarterfinals of the Malaysia Masters with wins over their respective opponents on Thursday. Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist and seeded sixth, defeated Japan’s Aya Ohori in straight games in the women’s singles. Whereas, Prannoy defeated Shi Feng Li of China in the men’s singles match.
World No. 13 Sindhu extended her dominance over No. 28 Ohori on the first court and defeated the Japanese 21-16, 21-11 in the round-16. Sindhu will face China’s Yi Manzhang in the quarterfinals.
