G20 Summit 2023 Srinagar: Tourism Working Committee meeting started in Srinagar

G20 Tourism Working Committee meeting: The G20 Tourism Working Committee meeting has started in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Jitendra Singh inaugurated the programme. In this meeting being held in Srinagar, along with the G-20 member countries, delegates from the invited countries are participating.
The reason behind this meeting being held in the valley is to re-promote tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. The government believes that after the success of this meeting, there will be an increase in both investment and earnings in the tourism sector of the valley.
Draft related to film tourism presented
Union Ministers Jitendra Singh and G Kishan Reddy were also present at the start of the summit along with state Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant. Film actor Ram Charan also attended the event. Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy, Dr. Jitendra Singh, and G20 India Sherpa Amitabh Kant unveiled the draft ‘National Strategy for Film Tourism’ at the start of the event.
In the opening session of the meeting, G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant said that shooting of films should resume in Kashmir. There is no better place than this. Amitabh Kant said that there can be no better place than Kashmir for shooting films. We (the central government) will work out of the box to help films shoot and location shoot and also promote it. He said that we will provide full assistance to transfer the film back to the shooting location in Kashmir from some other part.
