MP Suresh Kashyap has been removed from the post of BJP state president. Dr. Rajeev Bindal has been given the command of Himachal Pradesh BJP President for the second time, replacing Kashyap. Dr. Bindal was removed from the post of president last time after a controversy. He has been trusted for the second time. At the same time, Pawan Rana has also been removed from Himachal Pradesh and given the command of Organization General Secretary of Delhi. Now the new organization general secretary of Himachal will be Siddharthan. Siddharthan was the Organization General Secretary of Delhi State.

The decision to remove the top leaders of the party’s national president JP Nadda has been taken about four months after the defeat in the assembly elections. After the defeat, the withdrawal of the BJP State President and the General Secretary of the organization was already considered as fixed. Kashyap’s three-year term as BJP state president was over. After that he remained in the second term as well. Rana was in this position for almost a decade.

Rana is originally from Jwalamukhi in Kangra district. On the other hand, Rajendran, as the General Secretary of the State Organization of Delhi, has satisfied the leadership with his work in the municipal elections. This action has been taken at the exact time when BJP’s target is Shimla Municipal Corporation elections. Apart from this, the BJP has also targeted the proposed Lok Sabha elections next year.

Dr. Rajeev Bindal was made the president earlier also. After a dispute, Dr. Bindal resigned from the post of BJP state president on May 27, 2020. After the formation of the Jairam government in the year 2017, Bindal was made the speaker of the assembly. At the same time, Bindal was handed over the command of the party for the first time after the completion of Satpal Satti’s double term as state party president, while Vipin Parmar was made the Speaker of the Assembly.

An incident of illegal transaction came to light in the health department while Bindal was holding the post of State President. Meanwhile, Bindal resigned from his post. While resigning, Bindal clarified that some people are indirectly associating the name of BJP with this incident, so he resigns on the basis of morality. It may be noted that in the video viral on social media, there was a conversation of the then Health Director of the state, in which illegal transactions of five lakh rupees were revealed.
Sources associated with the party leadership say that Bindal’s organizational ability was more efficient. The lax attitude of the state organization has also been responsible for the defeat in the assembly elections. Apart from this, no evidence of his involvement in the illegal transaction controversy has come to the fore. For this reason, confidence has been reposed in Bindal.

BJP State President Suresh Kashyap has clarified the situation on speculations of resignation. Rejecting speculation about resigning, he said that he has urged the party’s national president Jagat Prakash Nadda that his term is over. Now the Lok Sabha elections are near. Therefore, someone else should be given the responsibility of the state president. Responding to media queries on Sunday, Kashyap said in Shimla that he has urged the Speaker that the Lok Sabha elections are due very soon.

It would be good if someone else is appointed as the state party president. There are many capable people. If someone else gets this responsibility, then he will be able to pay more attention to his area. He said that there is no question of resignation. It is noteworthy that on Thursday there was speculation on social media about Kashyap submitting his resignation to Nadda. This speculation turned out to be wrong. However, Kashyap has verbally expressed his desire to step down from Nadda.

Suresh Kashyap is also the MP from Shimla parliamentary constituency. He has offered to step down in preparation for the upcoming elections. After the BJP’s defeat in Himachal Pradesh during Kashyap’s assembly elections and after the completion of his term, it was already believed that his departure was certain. Earlier, Kashyap himself has expressed this wish to the national president. One thing is also clear from this that he has once again expressed his desire to contest the Lok Sabha elections from the Shimla parliamentary seat.
