The third meeting of the Education Working Group (EdWG) during India’s G20 chairmanship will be held in Bhubaneswar. This two-day meeting of EdWG will run from April 27-28, 2023. While the precursor events associated with the G20 Education Working Group meetings will be held on April 23-26, 2023. Along with this, a special exhibition will be organized in Bhubaneswar.

The third meeting of the G20 Education Working Group aims to find solutions to issues related to the ‘future of work’. During this meeting, important topics like basic literacy, teaching and learning through technology and an inclusive, equitable, relevant and quality education will be discussed in depth. Along with this, G20 representatives will also share their views in the meeting.

A special exhibition will be organized in Bhubaneswar during the third meeting of the G20 Education Working Group under the chairmanship of India. Over 100 exhibitors will showcase technologies and modules at the exhibition. The exhibition is being organized by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the Ministry of Education from April 23 to 28. However, this exhibition will be organized on the theme “Future of Work”. The exhibition will be organized at the Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar.

The special exhibition on the future of work in Bhubaneswar will be held from April 23 to 28, but on April 26, only G20 representatives will be able to visit the exhibition. The exhibition will be open to the general public from April 23-25 and again between April 27 and 28. This is a 6-day exhibition on the theme ‘The Future of Work’ as a side event of the 3rd meeting of the Education Working Group.

During the exhibition, more than 100 exhibitors from India and G20 member countries will showcase their products, publications, artefacts and other promotional material to the visitors. In this exhibition, in particular, organizations providing new age technologies, companies from traditional crafts sector who have adopted technology, institutions providing future skills and education and think tanks will participate in the exhibition as exhibitors.

Let us inform that three areas will be given important priority in the 6-day exhibition to be held in Bhubaneswar. In this, an exhibition will be organized on the future of work with the priority of three sectors namely agriculture, transport and healthcare. Along with this, exhibitions will also be organized on the future of technology using immersive technology, interactive walls, holographic displays etc.

In fact, public participation programs are going on in Odisha since April 1, 2023, for the meeting of the Education Working Group in Bhubaneswar. In which till now there is participation of more than 86000 people from schools and institutes of Odisha. Because April 1 is also celebrated as Odisha Day.

As the majority of the population resides in the Indian state of Odisha, tribals of Odisha will receive special attention during the EdWG meeting of the G20. For this, tribal products will be displayed during various programs and activities. Along with this, millets and local dishes will be served to introduce the G20 delegates to the traditional food of Odisha.

Significantly, the objective of the G20 summit is to bring global stakeholders representing academia, government and industry on a common platform. Explain that the first meeting of the G20 Education Working Group in India was held in Chennai and the second meeting was held in Amritsar.
